October Recap: A Month of Fun and Learning at Booksie
October was filled with stories, learning, and laughter here at Booksie! Here’s a look back at our eventful month and a peek into what’s coming up.
Baby & Toddler Storytime Returned
We welcomed back our youngest readers for Baby & Toddler Storytime, and it was truly magical. From first pages to giggles and wide eyes, it’s always heartwarming to see little ones enchanted by stories, and we’re glad to be nurturing this early bond with reading.
The Gizo-Gizo Play – A Big Hit!
The much-anticipated Gizo-Gizo play took the stage, blending storytelling, dance, and music in a way that captivated children and adults alike. The story of the mischievous spider and the pollution of the lagoon was not only entertaining but also sparked meaningful conversations about taking care of our environment. We’re thrilled by the audience’s excitement and the positive feedback we received!
Booksie at the Pa Gya Festival
Booksie was honoured to host a reading corner at this year’s Pa Gya Festival! It was a lively gathering of book lovers, with our corner buzzing as children gathered to listen to stories, explore new books, and share their love of reading. Seeing young readers connect with literature is always inspiring.
Looking Ahead: November Events
As we turn the page to November, we’re excited to announce new workshops and events, including an illustration class with Nii Dromo Yartey. He’ll be guiding young artists through the basics of illustrating stories, sparking their creativity, and helping them understand the art behind their favourite books. And that’s just the start—November promises even more learning and fun, so stay tuned!
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Here’s to more memorable moments and nurturing young minds through the power of books.
